Metallurg Magnitogorsk - SKA. Match day

SKA's second game of this away series will take place today against HC Metallurg in Magnitogorsk.

Games between these two teams are always something to enjoy, with two of the biggest KHL clubs clashing. This will be the second fixture against each other this campaign, as two weeks ago in Saint Petersburg SKA defeated Metallurg in a 5:3 thriller. That win should give our team confidence coming into this one, however Metallurg are never easy to play against. The 2014 KHL Gagarin Cup champions currently reside in second of the Eastern Conference with 68 points, and are coming off the back of a 4:2 home win against HC Vityaz Podolsk. That ended a long four game losing streak, and their fans will be hopeful of another victory today. Top line forwards Sergei Mozyakin, Jan Kovar and Danis Zaripov have a combined 127 points this season so far, and main goaltender Vasily Koshechkin has a saves percentage of 92.9%.

Our team's 5:6 overtime defeat to HC Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod was the first loss in nine, however that gained point has kept hold of sixth place of the Western Conference. New players Sergei Shirokov, Pavel Buchnevich and Jonas Enlund are training with the squad in Magnitogorsk.

The Metallurg Magnitogorsk - SKA match will begin at 17.00 local time. Life78 and Match TV will both broadcast the game live, and you can keep up to date with events either by following our online match centre or our official Twitter account.
