Traktor - SKA. Match day

The second match of this away series will take place in Chelyabinsk, where SKA will take on hosts HC Traktor.

Since the glory days of reaching the 2013 KHL Gagarin Cup final Traktor have had a rather turn down in fortunes, and their best performance since that achievement has been the first round of last season's playoffs. They are a club that base their traditions around talented youth products from their academy, and quite a few players of SKA's current squad began their career in Chelyabinsk. The best of Traktor's new batch is most probably goaltender Vasily Demchenko, who in 15 games this campaign has picked up an impressive 93.5% saves percentage. Their current top scorer is forward Alexander Rybakov with eight points (3+5), and overall Traktor lay in 11th place of the Eastern Conference with only four normal time wins from 16 matches.

SKA also aren't going through the best patch of form at the moment, and lost their second game in a row to Jokerit 2:3 on Thursday. Despite that loss however the players put on a good performance, and will be looking to get back in Chelyabinsk today. A win today would enable our team to climb above Vityaz into seventh of the Western Conference.
