Igor Larionov speaks after beating Traktor on the road

HC SKA head coach Igor Larionov:

"It's nice to be back after being out of action for 10 days. We were worried about this game as a consequence of having rested for over a week, but we still managed to earn the two points. We'll now prepare for Sunday's match in Kazakhstan."

Struggles in the first period...

"We were prepared for Chelyabinsk's style. They continued fighting hard even when we were leading 4:1, but excellent goalkeeping from Sergei Ivanov allowed us to see it out."

"When we withstood two Traktor powerplays and then subsequently scored twice. However, we were far too soft in front of our own net in the third stanza. The goals which we conceded are unacceptable for us."

"We love having him in our team! At the same time, though, we want to ensure that he displays his best qualities. Unfortunately, he isn't yet transforming his positive performances into points.
