Slovan - SKA. Match day

Today on the 26th of December, SKA will play the final game of this away series against Slovan Bratislava in the Slovakian capital.

Our opponents Slovan started the season well, but have since fallen off the boil languishing in 10th place of the Western Conference with 52 points from 41 matches. This will be their seventh and final game of a mammoth home series, having beaten Barys Astana, Salavat Yulaev Ufa and Jokerit, while losing to Avangard, HC Lada and Neftekhimik. Forward Rok Ticar has been impressive in recent appearances, taking up five points (1+4) from the past five games.

SKA couldn't catch Jokerit up in the table by losing to Dinamo Minsk 1:2 after penalty shots, although the team does have one game in hand over the Finns being only one point behind.

These two teams have already met this season, with SKA coming out on top in Saint Petersburg 7:2. Overall in the KHL so far, SKA has won three out of four matches against Slovan.

The Slovan - SKA match will begin at 21.00 Moscow time inside the Slovnaft Arena in Bratislava. 100 TV will broadcast the game live, and you can keep up to date with events by checking out our matchcentre on the site, or by following our twitter.
