Viktor Tikhonov: "I hope that we will go down in history together"

- In the opening minutes, Slovan were stronger.

- There are a lot of reasons. First of all, there was a break in the KHL, and some players were only training during that period. On the other hand, the national team guys were playing a lot. We needed time to find our legs and heads, and when we did, everything worked out.

- Do you like playing in a line with Pavel Datsyuk and Sergei Plotnikov?

- Usually, they give me passes, and I miss the net. Today, I made a pass, and we scored a goal. Everyone knows that they are both masters, it's certainly nice to play with them.

- In the break, we saw a support from Arizona with your jersey. What would you say to the fans who came to the Ice Palace on a working day?

- Thank you very much. I would like to meet the fan from Arizona. On Saturday, the main thing is to go for the record, there will be a fantastic atmosphere. I hope that we will go down in history together.

- Ahead of the Hockey Classic, how will you prepare to play Dinamo Riga in Saint Petersburg?

- In ice hockey, you need to focus on the next shift, not even the next match. We're only thinking about playing our next opponents at the moment. When Saturday comes, we will switch our attentions to that match.

- We could feel SKA's desire today.

- Any ice hockey player will say that it's a lot better to play in matches rather than training sessions. Especially when you are winning. Hopefully, we will continue in the same vein.
