Slovan - SKA. Match day

SKA will play their final match of the 2014/2015 KHL regular season against HC Slovan Bratislava in Slovakia. They aren't new opponents for our team though, with three meetings having already been held. Two wins, 7:2 at home and 6:1 in Slovakia were earned, with one defeat 1:2 coming in Saint Petersburg on penalty shots.

Slovan really have had a rotten season, and were the first team to lose all playoff hopes in the Western Conference as they lay in last with only 59 points. They have indeed lost seven matches in a row, including a thumping 0:12 defeat at the hands of CSKA Moscow, and their last victory came against SKA back in January. World Junior Championship star Denis Godla has an 83.9% saves percentage, while their top scorer is Ladislav Nagy with 38 points (21+17).

After going down to Atlant 0:1 on Friday SKA are not yet guaranteed to claim the silver medals, and a win is needed here today. In the first round of the Gagarin Cup playoffs our team will indeed play against the seventh placed team, and it could be either HC Sochi, HC Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod or even HC Severstal.

The Slovan - SKA match will begin at 19.00 Moscow time inside the Slovnaft Arena, Bratislava. 100 TV will broadcast the game live, and you can keep up to date with events by following either our matchcentre, or our twitter account.
