Slender friendly loss to Avtomobilist

27 August 2025

SKA suffered their second defeat in as many games at the 2025 Nikolai Puchkov Tournament, coming up short by a score of 0:1 against Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg.

Nevertheless, despite the two defeats, our team had managed to earn one point when forcing OT against Ak Bars on Monday with a dramatic late leveller.

There were to be no heroics this time, though, as Avtomobilist held on to their precarious one-goal lead which they opened up thanks to Nikita Shashkov in the 36th minute.

Sergei Ivanov impressed for SKA with 24 saves, while his opposite number Vladimir Galkin stopped all 26 shots which he faced.

The two teams will face each other again on Friday in another friendly match.
