Severstal - SKA. Match day

Today SKA will play its second match in the space of a week against Severstal, with today's encounter being played in Cherepovets instead of Saint Petersburg.

Last week thanks to a Yevgeni Dadonov overtime goal SKA won 4:3 inside the Ice Palace, and that point taken from that game has helped Severstal in their quest to make the post-season play-offs as they are in tenth place of the Western Conference with 59 points. Their previous match didn't go as well for them though, as Dinamo Riga got the better of Severstal in Latvia 2:0.

Our team on the other hand managed to come out unscathed from Riga, defeating Dinamo 3:2 on penalty shots. Indeed SKA have been excellent so far this year, winning all of their five games, with only two not coming in normal time. Eight points now separate CSKA and SKA at the top of the KHL table, with our players having beaten CSKA 3:1 at home not long ago.

The Severstal - SKA match will begin at 17.00 Moscow time in Cherepovets. 100 TV will broadcast the game live, while you can also keep up to date with events by following either our matchcentre, or our twitter account.
