Igor Larionov speaks after playing Severstal away

HC SKA head coach Igor Larionov:

"Cherepovets deserved their win. We played well, created a number of opportunities, but we couldn't find a way through - even when playing 5-on-3. When you fail to capitalise on a two-man advantage in ice hockey, luck always then turns against you."

Lack of goals...

"It was down to either fatigue or a lack of confidence. Unfortunately, our home match against Severstal set the tone for a number of subsequent mistakes which we've been committing ever since. We have to work hard in order to ensure that lady luck returns."

"We're losing a lot of our players to injury at the moment. The decision was taken to give Danil a chance in the line with Nikolai Goldobin and Sergei Plotnikov, and it's tough to draw conclusions from just the one game. We want Danil to contribute more."
