Marat Khusnutdinov: "We need to take advantage of our opportunities"

HC SKA forward Marat Khusnutdinov:

- Why can’t SKA beat Barys? They are very awkward opponents for you this season.

- Their powerplay goals knocked us a bit, probably. We needed to score our chances, though, we had enough opportunities throughout the game.

- What did you change ahead of the third period? SKA had an advantage in terms of game play.

- We didn’t change anything much, we always like to compete on the front foot, press the opponents and unleash a lot of shots. Penalty shots are a lottery, we needed to score earlier. All of us watch back our shifts when we arrive home, we will draw the correct conclusions and will approach the next game with clear heads.

- You started the match today in one line with Nikita Gusev.

- It was an excellent experience! We made a few passes to one another, but we need time to get used to playing in one line. It’s a big positive for us as a team to have a player like Gusev.
