Valeri Bragin: "The game could have gone either way"

14 November 2020

HC SKA head coach Valeri Bragin:

- First of all, I want to thank our fans who travelled here today, we heard their support. It was a gritty game which could have gone either way, Severstal have an aggressive, young team, they compete in an organised manner. It's really nice for us to win in Cherepovets.

- Why didn't Evgeny Timkin continue playing after the first period? How does he feel?

- It's difficult to say, we need to see what information they give us in the clinic. However, he feels ok. The hit against Evgeny? Cherepovets have a youthful team with an aggressive approach, that's their style.

- You previously said that these three matches were going to show SKA's condition.

- Three victories is a solid result, this means that we're in good shape. Finally the team is back in the form which it was before the illness.

- What are your thoughts about Swedish defenseman Oscar Fantenberg?

- He is a reliable player in defence, we were lacking such a big, physical defenseman. He is giving the rest of the guys confidence with his solid play.
