Press conference after CSKA visited the SKA Arena

HC SKA head coach Andrei Razin:

"It was an optimistic start in which we had positional attacks and chances. However, the second period was really poor. CSKA then subsequently protected the scoreline in the third."

"Quality, not quantity. I liked how CSKA moved to the crease and blocked our goalkeeper's view; they were more dangerous than us in this aspect."

Rocco Grimaldi only receiving nine minutes on the ice...

"There were a lot of penalties today, but Rocco isn't on our PK or PP units. This is why he only played nine minutes."

What he's learned since moving to Saint Petersburg...

"There are issues with our game play. Furthermore, the second frame showed that we have fitness problems. Our young players are beginning to push the older guys out of the team."

Things which SKA lack against teams like CSKA...

"Unlike CSKA, we're still in the process of making our mark here and ensuring that the players compete in our style of ice hockey. The foundations need to be laid, the tactical details. In comparison to our preceding game against Novosibirsk, certain aspects of our play improved."

HC CSKA Moscow head coach Igor Nikitin:

"We played well for two out of the three periods. It was a challenging game, and we're satisfied with the result. Saint Petersburg got back in the match in the third stanza because we took our foot off the gas, but I'm happy that we ended it with our third goal."
