Igor Larionov shares his thoughts after facing Lada on the road

HC SKA head coach Igor Larionov:
"It's nice to be in Tolyatti, a city which loves ice hockey. The result isn't positive for us, but there are several reasons why this is the case. Congratulations to Lada with their important victory."
Five consecutive losses with a lack of goals...
"I'm concerned by the last two games. We spoke about the fact that we needed to improve in defence, and our goalkeepers are playing brilliantly. However, it's unacceptable for SKA not to score in 120 successive minutes. We do now have enough time to analyse what happened and prepare for Tuesday."
Disciplinary issues in the second stanza...
"After the second period, I told the guys that you cannot compete shorthanded for an entire frame when playing against a team which is really struggling in all regards. It's impossible to count on a successful outcome when you're shorthanded all of the time. Yes, we began to play the right way 5-on-5 in the third frame, but we lacked strength and confidence in front of goal. If we analyse the game as a whole, we were solid shorthanded and toothless in attack."
