CSKA - SKA. Press-conference of Game Five

HC SKA head coach Vyacheslav Bykov:

- This is a series with no compromises being taken. I will again repeat that we cannot lose anymore, as any mistake can knock us out of the competition. We are thinking only about achieving a positive result, and the guys are giving their maximum in every match. We will continue preparing.

- Can you say why your team started to only really play when the score in the series became 0:3?

- We have found our inner strength. The main thing is to keep believing and working methodically. The result depends on everyone's commitment.

- Is Viktor Tikhonov still not in shape to take to the ice again?

- I don't like to discuss such issues. Everyone on the ice is showing their best game, and Viktor will too when he will play.

HC CSKA Moscow head coach Dmitry Kvartalnov:

- I don't know if you will be surprised or not when I tell you that this is a very important defeat for us. We need to think. These defeats are messing our game up. We are now seeing all of our problems and errors. Today we conceded five breakaway goals, however the most interesting games are coming up. We will give our all when playing.

- Do you not think that you made a mistake choosing your goalkeeper for the game?

- There's a feeling that we made a lot of mistakes today. We are a team, and we win and lose together.

- Speak about why you pulled your goalkeeper with six and a half minutes remaining.

- We wanted to score a goal, but it didn't work out.

- How can you deal with SKA's second line of Artemiy Panarin, Yevgeni Dadonov and Vadim Shipachyov?

- I am very happy for them, but we can't stop them. We will work and try to figure out how to shut them down.

- Yevgeni Artyukhin didn't have any ice time after picking up a four minute penalty.

- It's a shame that it came at such a time. I don't know if SKA got a penalty for that incident too, we need to look over what happened.

- Rate Stephane Da Costa's performance.

- He played two periods in a different line. Yevgeni Korotkov is injured, and we have some other problems. Stephane played well.

- Do you not want to bring back Nikolay Prokhorkin to the squad?

- I think it's time to talk about something different. I am asked questions about him at every press-conference. It's as though I have got four idiots sat in front of me - there is an explanation for every situation.

- What does he think himself about this issue?

- I haven't seen him.
