CSKA - SKA. Match day

Following the match against HC Dynamo Moscow on Monday, SKA have remained in the Russian capital to take on CSKA.
Matches between these two will now always rekindle memories of last season's memorable Western Conference final, where SKA historically became the first KHL team to recover from a 0:3 deficit to come out on top 4:3. CSKA have serious motivation for playing SKA, and already in the first game of the new campaign they took the Opening Cup by defeating our players 4:3 OT in Saint Petersburg. That set the trend well for CSKA, and they have been in excellent form so far dropping only three losses (Jokerit 0:3, Metallurg Magnitogorsk 1:3 and Ak Bars Kazan 3:6). They do have a goalkeeping problem though, with Stanislav Galimov holding a dodgy 88.8% saves percentage and Viktor Fasth a 91.3% percentage. Their top scorers are unsurprisingly forwards Alexander Radulov and Geoff Platt with 15 and 11 respectively (5+10 and 9+20).
SKA's two match winning streak was snapped against Dynamo with a painful 2:3 defeat, as our players couldn't hold on to a two nothing lead. Despite that loss Mikko Koskinen impressed making 33 saves, and Yegor Yakovlev struck his first SKA goal. Vadim Shipachyov is still our top scorer with 12 points (3+9).
The CSKA - SKA match will take place at 19.30 local time inside the LDS CSKA, Moscow. 100 TV, KHL TV and Rossiya 2 will all broadcast the game live, and you can keep up to date with events by following our official Twitter account.
