Game three. Spartak - SKA - 2:5

In the third match of the 2018/2019 KHL Gagarin Cup playoffs first round, SKA defeated HC Spartak Moscow 5:2 on the road, consequently making the series score 1:2.
Coming into the game, SKA were in trouble after losing the opening two matches of the series at home, but our players showed their class in Moscow to get on the board and halve the deficit.
Nikita Gusev scored the opening goal on the powerplay in the first period, before he then doubled the advantage on another man advantage in the second.
SKA's unstoppable play on the powerplay continued. Vladislav Gavrikov was the next score, and after Artyom Fyodorov had netted a goal for Spartak, Alexander Barabanov grabbed a fourth for SKA.
However, Igor Shestyorkin was then handed a 5+20 penalty for tripping against Kaspars Daugavins, which meant Magnus Hellberg replaced him between the SKA sticks.
Anton Zlobin did score a second for the hosts, but after they pulled their goaltender at the end of the third period, Jarno Koskiranta hit the empty net to seal a thrilling 5:2 victory!
