Sibir hit for six!

Sibir had no answer to SKA's advances on Thursday evening, as Andrei Razin earned his maiden win as SKA boss with a comfortable 6:3 triumph.
The visitors had initially opened up a two-goal lead in the first period. However, after Artemiy Pleshkov had been swapped in favour of Sergei Ivanov, a fired-up SKA tallied five unanswered markers.
Amir Nugmanov got the party started in the third minute, shooting beyond Mikhail Berdin from a tight angle to open his KHL account.
Sibir, however, conjured up an emphatic response to shock the 15-thousand strong SKA Arena crowd.
Yegor Korshkov, Sergei Popov and Anton Kosolapov - on the powerplay - got the better of Pleshkov from close range in the space of a mere four minutes to firmly the Novosibirsk-based outfit in the box seat.
That did indeed signal the end of the forlorn Pleshkov's night.
Ivanov's introduction proved to be turning point. Vasily Glotov halved the deficit in the 12th minute, before the same player then equalised on the man advantage and Rocco Grimaldi smashed the loose puck home to complete a pulsating seven-goal first period!
The remainder of the game was a somewhat calmer affair.
Valentin Zykov put SKA two to the good just 50 seconds into the second frame, sweeping Danil Aimurzin's clever pass past Anton Krasotkin who had taken Berdin's place in the away net.
Controlling proceedings effectively, SKA never looked like throwing the game away and subsequently sealed the deal with a sixth from Vasily Atanasov on the slot midway through the third stanza.
SKA will now prepare to host CSKA Moscow in Saint Petersburg on Sunday. Puck-drop is scheduled for 17:00 local time.
