Late comeback ends with gritty win in Khabarovsk!

SKA were on the verge of a disappointing loss in the first of two scheduled matches in Khabarovsk, but our team pulled level in the nick of time before securing a dramatic 2:1 triumph over Amur in overtime!
In what turned out to be a tense, tight encounter, Brennan Menell was the hero for SKA, sending a neat effort beyond the goalkeeper in the concluding minute of the extra frame after Marat Khairullin had evened it up late in the third.
The deadlock had initially been broken for Amur by Yaroslav Likhachyov, who whipped an instant attempt past impressive SKA goalkeeper Sergei Ivanov from the right circle.
It looked as though that sole goal would be the difference.
However, Khairullin broke Amur hearts with a little less than two minutes remaining on the clock, beating Damir Shaimardanov from distance after Ivanov had been pulled for the extra skater.
And Menell then backhanded in to complete the comeback.
The two teams will face each other again tomorrow at 10:00 Moscow time.
