SKA breeze to away win in Tolyatti!

SKA made it four wins on the bounce on Sunday afternoon, cruising to a routine 3:0 away victory against Lada in the 2025/2026 KHL regular season.
As a consequence of taking several penalties throughout the match, SKA allowed Lada to create plenty of chances and test Yegor Zavragin on a regular occurance, but our goalkeeper stood tall to the challenge and saw our team through to what turned out to be a comfortable win.
The visitors immediately opened the scoring.
With a little more than a minute played, Rocco Grimaldi powered clean through and finished with aplomb.
Lada, playing their first game under new head coach Pavel Desyatkov after Boris Mironov was given the boot, responded well and came close to equalising when a rasping effort from distance struck the underside of the crossbar.
Nevertheless, SKA weathered the storm and doubled their money in the 32nd minute after a 5-on-3 Lada powerplay had been killed.
And it was a beauty too, as Matvei Korotky displayed wonderful individual talent to beat his marker with a slick move and carefully slot home.
That goal went a long way to finishing the game as a contest.
In the ensuing third frame, Lada did indeed have another two-man advantage for the best part of a minute, but Zavragin refused to let go of his maiden shutout of the campaign and stopped all 29 shots which he faced in the match!
Nikita Dishkovsky iced it in the closing stages, sliding the puck into the empty net after receiving an unselfish pass from Matvei Polyakov.
SKA will now prepare to host Avangard Omsk in Saint Petersburg on Tuesday. Puck-drop is scheduled for 19:30 local time.
