SKA - Vityaz. Press-conference

HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:

- Having lost a lot of emotion in our preceding games, we found it tough going today. Nevertheless, the main thing is that we found a way to win. We had no right to lose on Hockey Day! Vityaz are a strong, educated team, they're still using the system which Bob Hartley introduced to Avangard Omsk. We don't have any time to celebrate, tomorrow we'll fly to Magnitogorsk. This match was similar to our previous game against Vityaz in Balashikha? The beauty of sport is that you never know what's going to happen! Every game is a new challenge for SKA. Unfortunately, our goalkeeper Johan Mattsson received an injury this morning. Why didn't I present young forward Mikhail Kabat with his KHL debut? He's a talented guy, we're counting on him making appearances in our upcoming matches.

HC Vityaz Moscow Region head coach Dmitry Ryabykin:

- I have a feeling of deja-vu today! The same thing happened in Balashikha when we played SKA, we surrendered a two-goal advantage in the third stanza. Unfortunately, SKA's first marker was scored as a consequence of our own mistake, even though we had told our players how Alexander Nikishin likes to play in those situations.

HC SKA defenseman Artyom Zemchyonok:

- Initially we started well, but then the game evened itself out. Both teams were waiting for mistakes from one another. Thankfully, we netted a quick goal in the third period which gave us enough time to find the equaliser. We're comeback experts? This isn't our style, but it does show that this group has character. It'll certainly help us in the playoffs.

HC SKA forward Alexander Kadeikin:

- I wasn't pleased with how we competed during the maiden two periods. Nonetheless, it's good that we began displaying more aggression in the third frame and managed to score our goals. Vityaz are in last place of the Western Conference? To be honest, I hadn't known that! They've also had winning streaks. We must begin games better in order to avoid having to embark on such difficult comebacks.
