HC CSKA Moscow head coach Dmitry Kvartalnov:

- I thank my guys, and congratulate them with qualifying for the final. Also, I am grateful to Sergei and his team for a good series. It ran on a fine line. We are happy that we are in the final, we really wanted this.

- What did you do, in order to avoid what happened last year?

- We believe in our work. This year, we had a completely different team. In some aspects, we were lacking last time. The guys are doing what we want them to.

- Which game was key?

- I think that all games were key. The third game could have gone either way, the same goes for today. Luck, our goaltender, there were a lot of factors. After today's conceded goal, we began to play better. All games are important, and in the playoffs, there are a lot of them.

- For you, which three players were the best?

- The entire team did a good job.

- Do you agree with the league's decision to disqualify Geoff Platt?

- We will play without him. I won't comment on this topic.

HC SKA head coach Sergei Zubov:

- I congratulate CSKA with their win, they deserved to qualify for the next round. Probably, we were a bit unlucky in some components, especially in this and the third game. We will analyse the series in detail at a later date. Today, I want to thank the whole of Saint Petersburg and the fans for coming to the Ice Palace to support us. Also, I am thankful to the team for fighting.

- It's clear that you are upset now, but are you satisfied with this year's playoff performance?

- You have satisfaction afterwards. Yes, we have some joy that we won two rounds, a lot of people didn't believe in us.

- Can you tell us why Ilya Kovalchuk didn't play?

- We made changes to the line-up, and as a result we qualified for the third round. A lot of sport lovers witnessed the series, which they wanted to see.

- Do you need Ilya Kovalchuk for next season?

- Such discussions will take place at a later date.

- Was the series with CSKA the most useful of the lot?

- I wouldn't say that. Each separate series gave us differing emotions, and we have made our conclusions.

- In which component were the opponents better than you in?

- I think that it's down to luck. Also, CSKA were organised in defence.
