SKA - CSKA - 0:3

In the second home match of the 2019/2020 KHL regular season, SKA couldn't defeat HC CSKA Moscow, conceding a 0:3 defeat to the visitors.

Anton Slepyshev struck the opening goal in the first period with a strong wrister from distance. Not long later, SKA had a golden opportunity to equalise, but defenseman Artyom Zemchyonok smacked the crossbar when on a breakaway.

Unfortunately, that miss was punished in the second stanza, as Konstantin Okulov scored from the right faceoff circle when on the powerplay.

Requiring goals, SKA huffed and puffed in the third frame, however Ilya Sorokin refused to be beaten for CSKA and the away side sealed the win as Sergei Kalinin hit the ensuing empty net.

SKA will next play on Sunday against Jokerit at the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace.
