SKA - Traktor

SKA - Traktor - 4:1

19 February 2023

Producing a strong performance, SKA powered past playoff-chasing Traktor Chelyabinsk at the Ice Palace in the 2022/2023 KHL regular season, emerging victorious by a large score of 4:1.

Dmitrij Jaskin opened the scoring in the fifth minute, as he turned Stepan Falkovsky's clever pass over the line from point-blank range.

Our advantage was subsequently doubled midway through the third period.

The in-form Svyatoslav Grebenshchikov was the man of the moment, as he got the better of Chelyabinsk goalkeeper Kirill Ustimenko when clean through shorthanded.

In full control of proceedings, SKA practically put the game to bed in the fifth minute of the third stanza, with Mikhail Vorobyov hitting the jackpot with a clever rebound effort.

Finnish forward Teemu Pulkkinen gave Traktor a glimmer of hope with a little less than eight minutes remaining in regulation time.

However, it wasn't to be for the away side, as Stepan Falkovsky sealed the deal for SKA with a late empty-netter.

SKA will now prepare to host Kunlun Red Star in Saint Petersburg on Tuesday. Puck-drop is scheduled for 19:30 local time.
