SKA - Torpedo. Press-conference

HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:
"I think that everyone received plenty of emotions from this match. Both teams displayed ice hockey of a high level, I liked how we reacted to conceding a few cheap goals at the start. Our guys deserved good fortune thanks to their determined, committed approach.
"We created a lot of clear scoring opportunities throughout. One of our forwards committed a mistake for the fourth goal which Torpedo scored, but he made up for that by contributing to our subsequent markers. I think that we won because of our team discipline today, we're improving all of the time and we can see that our players are beginning to compete with more concentration."
HC Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod head coach Igor Larionov:
"I would like to congratulate SKA with their win. Yes, it was an exciting game, but we're disappointed with the result. There are a lot of issues which need to be analysed with cool heads.
"We seem to be lacking concentration and focus when trying to see games out, we keep on losing matches after initially being two or three up. In order to achieve positive results in such games, we must be calm internally and finish matches without panic. This is a difficult process which we're embarking on.
"Why didn't we pull Ivan Bocharov after SKA had scored three goals? Nikolai Khabibulin, our goalkeeping coach, told me that we didn't need to change him. You've got to be careful when pulling goalkeepers, sometimes they simply need more help from the skaters in front of them."
