SKA - Sochi. Press-conference

HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:

"We knew that these opponents like to play defence-minded ice hockey. From our point of view, we wanted to move the puck through the neutral zone quickly and avoid losing possession in the attacking zone.

"We wasted lots of opportunities to score more goals, but it was clear just how well the opposing goalkeeper wanted to play. Sochi made it difficult for us to break them down, and they were backed by excellent goaltending. Nevertheless, I think that we produced a solid peformance across the 60 minutes. We're happy that our goalkeeper earned a well-deserved shutout!"

HC Sochi head coach Sergei Zubov:

"We created enough chances to score goals. Unfortunately, SKA took advantage of our poor mistakes to tally their markers.

"How challenging is it to motivate the team when we have no chance of qualifying for the playoffs? Yes, naturally it's tough. Will Sergei Ivanov play again this season? He has started training in the gym again, but there's little chance of his returning before the regular season ends."
