SKA - Slovan. Press-conference

HC Slovan Bratislava head coach Milos Riha:
- I congratulate Saint Petersburg and Oleg Znarok with their victory. What can I say...we conceded four goals on as many SKA powerplays. We wanted to play well with the team which we have, but at times, we looked like a junior team. SKA deserved to win.
- What were you angry about after SKA have a seventh goal wiped off?
- If they ruled it no goal because of goaltender interference, a penalty should be given to the opposing player. My colleague next to me laughed when I made a challenge, but if the referees said it wasn't a goal, why didn't they call a penalty?
- O.Z. - Milos, I wasn't laughing at you. I respect you as a coach and as a person. Alexander Barabanov scored a goal, it was important for him.
- M.R. - Ok.
HC SKA head coach Oleg Znarok:
- Thank you for the congratulations. We did well on the powerplay today. Good luck to Slovan in their next game, and we will also prepare for Thursday's fixture.
- Why was Mikko Koskinen replaced in the third period?
- Igor Shestyorkin will play in the next match, we wanted to give him a bit of game time beforehand.
- Before this match, did you speak to the players who have been called up to the national team?
- Has the roster already been published? I haven't seen it, I can't comment on that. The national team has good, young players who can become the team's leaders.
- Vadim Shipachyov told us that you spoke to the players about playing better before today's second period.
- I was unsatisfied after the first period, but my exact words in the dressing room will remain a secret.
- Can you tell us why so many young players are in the national team roster? In the past, this wasn't the case at the Euro Hockey Tour.
- At the Karjala Cup, we always give the more inexperienced players a chance. All first teamers will be back in for the Channel One Cup. Given the fact that we don't know if the NHL players can compete at the Olympic Games, we need to give everyone an opportunity.
