SKA - Slovan. Press-conference

HC Slovan Bratislava head coach Petri Matikainen:

- It was a good hockey game, and I note that it's great to play in front of a sell out crowd. Our first choice goaltender came back from injury, and it was a key factor for us. We fought hard, and played with the puck well. It's a big victory for us.

HC SKA head coach Vyacheslav Bykov:

- We couldn't break down Slovan's very organised defence - they performed in a very disciplined manner. I have a lot of questions for our forwards, as they didn't create any chances. In defence however we played well. It was like a play-off match were any mistake is costly, and in overtime and in the shootout we couldn't please the fans. The best team won today.

- A big group came from Switzerland to watch today's game.

- I noticed them, and I hope they did me too. They come from the city where my family lives, and they are already the third Swiss group to come to the Ice Palace. I will try and encourage more to come to Russia, watch hockey and fall in love with Saint Petersburg. It's always a nice thing.

- Before the World Junior Championship Dmitry Yudin was almost playing in the first line, and now sometimes he doesn't even get out on to the ice.

- He didn't bring back the gold. Joking aside, we try to give him and Andrey Ermakov chances. First of all however we should stabilize our game. Dmitry is in any case an important player for us, and I don't have any complaints for him. He's a talented player, and a player which we need.
