SKA - Severstal - 0:3

In a tense duel, SKA came up short against an organised Severstal Cherepovets outfit at home, losing 0:3 to the visitors in the 2023/2024 KHL regular season.

This does indeed mark SKA’s maiden defeat at the SKA Arena.

Nikita Korostelyov was the hero for the away side, breaking the deadlock in the 38th minute with a deflected wrister from the right circle.

The same player then doubled Severstal’s advantage when pouncing on a poor SKA error to beat Johan Mattsson for the second time in the 51st minute, before Adam Liska subsequently iced it with a late empty-netter.

SKA will now prepare to face Dinamo Minsk away in Belarus on Friday. Puck-drop is scheduled for 19:30 local time.
