Nikolai Puchkov Tournament. SKA - Sibir. Press-conference

HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:
- We started the game poorly. However, after we had held a serious conversation in our dressing room, we're satisfied with how the guys reacted. Today, we saw dirty ice hockey from the opponents. Thank God that Zakhar Bardakov's head is still in place, but he has received a serious injury and won't be able to participate in our next match. The referees allowed the game to get out of hand, they lost control of proceedings. For example, they missed the check to the head against Ivan Zinchenko, and then they told me that they simply hadn't seen the incident. Who needs ice hockey like this? The referees are not taking responsibility for the players' health. They've just come to eat their dinner and rest. When it comes to Sibir, then it seems that their players and coaches had previously been competing in a Canadian pub league.
HC Sibir Novosibirsk head coach David Nemirovsky:
- It was a good, quick game. The decisive factor was SKA's excellent performance on the powerplay. Nonetheless, despite the result, I liked how we competed in attack. Did we play in a dirty manner? No. It was a very fast game, so maybe the referees missed some incidents which occurred on the ice. As a coach, it was important to remain calm on the bench and not start spreading panic. When we were leading 2:0, we needed to score the third.
