SKA - Sibir. Press-conference

HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:

"I would like to thank our fans for providing us with such great energy! To be honest, we required their extra energy today, because we were lacking emotion after our dramatic match against Spartak in Moscow. Nevertheless, despite that issue, I'm grateful to our guys for continuing to try and eventually improving.

"What did I make of the chants inside the Ice Palace today? It's wonderful when there's a friendly atmosphere at the arena, this is what ice hockey should be like.

"Ivan Demidov has dished out seven assists across his last four matches. All of our players can improve, and Ivan is no exception to the rule. Our main focus is now preparing on hosting Yaroslavl here in Saint Petersburg on Wednesday."

HC Sibir Novosibirsk head coach Vadim Epanchintsev:

"We were excellent and organised for 40 minutes, but then we committed unacceptable mistakes in the third period. We understood SKA's strengths and, until the third frame, we didn't allow them to take advantage of their best qualities. Unfortunately for us today, matches last for 60 minutes, not two.

"When you're playing against true stars of the game such as Arseniy Gritsyuk and Mikhail Grigorenko, you simply cannot afford to commit the smallest of errors. We're in the learning process."
