Friendly loss to Avangard at Hockey City

In the concluding friendly match ahead of the upcoming 2025/2026 KHL regular season, SKA conceded a 3:5 loss to Avangard Omsk at Hockey City.

Having initially fallen three down, our players did cut the deficit to one with excellent markers from Marat Khairullin and Matvei Korotky.

However, despite their best efforts, SKA couldn't find the elusive equaliser, with the visitors netting a further two goals to wrap it up - although Trevor Murphy did tally a late consolation on the powerplay.

SKA will now prepare to face Kunlun Red Star in Saint Petersburg in the first game of the campaign on Saturday.
