SKA-Neva will play their first VHL fixture in Saint Petersburg

11 September 2015

On the 13th of September, SKA-Neva will play their first VHL home game of the season against Kazakh club Saryarka Karaganda.

One hour before the game at 16.00, the KHL Gagarin Cup will be available to take photographs with.

The Hokkeyniy Arena is located on the Zhandovskaya embankment, and entry to the game is free.

SKA vice-president Roman Rotenberg had his say on the event:

- SKA-Neva's home fixtures will take place inside the Hokkeyniy Arena, a stadium which is familiar to SKA fans who have supported the team for a long time. As a part of the season's preparations the arena has been seriously modernised, and has a new sporting hall, new dressing rooms, and new coaching and medical cabinets. At the end of September a new scoreboard will be put in place, and the most advanced multimedia solutions will be inside the arena.

The Hokkeyniy Arena will meet the fans with a new design, and while working we have kept hold of Saint Petersburg's hockey traditions. Fans will see portraits of Nikolai Puchkov, Vyacheslav Lavrov, Nikolai Drozdetsky and Vyacheslav Solodukhin upon the walls, and views of the river Neva will be available. We hope that fans will like the arena's transformation, and that the stadium will become a true home for the team. We are waiting for everyone at SKA-Neva's home matches, and we're sure that your support will help the team to achieve great results.
