Roman Rotenberg speaks after game five against Dynamo

HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:

"In terms of the audience ratings, I think that this series is even more popular than last year's final! Two strong teams are displaying ice hockey of the highest level. 

"Our guys did a good job today, they didn't bow down to the provocations provided by Dynamo's AHL players. They withstood the pressure, kept their emotions in check and achieved a vital win. We will now prepare for Sunday."

Issue of gestures being made as the series becomes more emotional...

"Are you trying to provoke me? Do you want to see Ivan Demidov or Maxime Comtois on the ice in the KHL?

"Moreover, let's take a look at the roughing penalty taken by Sergei Plotnikov. For whatever reason, the Dynamo player wasn't punished in that particular incident, even though he had instigated that disagreement with Plotnikov. We're in favour of honest ice hockey."

SKA's dominant overtime display...

"Obviously, I'm not going to share with you what was said to the players. I can only say that our guys fought hard for each other, competed as a united group, put their bodies on the line and dominated for the entire game. I know Dynamo's tactics, and all they want to do is wait for our mistakes.

"My gesture after our OT winner? Andrei Arshavin used to do that when he scored. We will now calmly prepare for game six in Saint Petersburg, we're constantly improving the small details. Our players are all playing for the benefit of the team."
