SKA - Medvescak. Press-conference

HC Medvescak head coach Doug Shedden:
- We knew that SKA had lost its two past home matches, and that it wouldn't be easy at all today. We expected a tough fight, and that is exactly what it was. The referees didn't let our goal count in the first period when we expected the opposite. I am proud that our guys didn't give up, and that they got back to 3:2 in the third. SKA took advantage of their chances, and as a result they won.
HC SKA head coach Vyacheslav Bykov:
- As my colleague noticed, we had lost two in a row here and another away - three matches which made an impact on the team's state. Today it was important to find our game, and play to win. Overall everything worked out, although we did have problems. Nevertheless it's always nice to win.
- Why did Igor Shestyorkin start today?
- We had planned that he would play. He has been called up to the Russian national team, and he needs game time. The fact that we had lost two home games in a row had no bearing, it was simply Igor's turn today.
- SKA scored more goals today than in the three past matches combined. Are you satisfied with the attacking performance?
- I am pleased that the guys took into account our analysis. The positive moments were there for all to see. But I would also like to note that this isn't the same Medvescak as before - they are more organised now, and it was tougher today. Overall though I am happy.
