SKA - Lokomotiv. Press-conference

HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:

"First of all, I want to congratulate my fellow colleagues with Coach's Day. In terms of the game itself, we have a good understanding of Lokomotiv, we knew that it would be a close, hard-fought match. We've played against Igor Nikitin on many occasions and understand what ice hockey his teams display.

"Both goalkeepers did a great job, Daniil Isayev made the big saves for Yaroslavl and won the match for his team. Yegor Zavragin conceded cheap goals in the first period? No, Zavragin wasn't to blame at all. The responsibility for the goals which we conceded lays on the skaters who allowed the Lokomotiv players to shoot.

"When you can't score with nice passing moves, instead you have to crash the net hard and force the puck over the line. We will now prepare for Saturday against Salavat Yulaev, they're a strong side with great foreign players."

HC Lokomotiv Yaroslavl head coach Igor Nikitin:

"We're satisfied with this victory, we competed with character and displayed determination.

"Did we make adjustments following the goal-filled first stanza? No, instead we simply reminded the guys of what we had showed them during our meeting in preparation for this game. Other teams don't always punish your mistakes, but SKA take advantage of any error. We continued playing in accordance with our system."
