SKA - Lokomotiv. Press-conference

HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:

"First of all, I want to thank the fans for their fantastic support inside the arena today, this win is down to them. That's all I am going to say about the game today.

"It initially looked like the hit against Alexander Nikishin was a regular one? Just look at how he fell to the ice. Please tell me why he fell having lost consciousness. Did that happen by itself?

"The incident involving Andrei Pedan? Well, did you see that the Lokomotiv player jumped into him? Is it legal to do so? That is all I am going to say today."

HC Lokomotiv Yaroslavl head coach Igor Nikitin:

"Our lack of concentration prevented us from winning today. You cannot give SKA's players so much time and space, they have enough quality to punish you immediately. We didn't play our brand of ice hockey in this match.

"One of our forwards should have closed Sergei Plotnikov down for his goal. When Arseniy Gritsyuk scored, our defensemen gave him far too much time to skate to a shooting position and take aim. For Ivan Demidov's goal, our defensemen shouldn't have got beaten 1-on-1 at this level. These mistakes allowed SKA to win.

"Alexei Melnichuk? Yes, he didn't produce his best performance today, but our skaters didn't help him. Demidov? He's a special player, we can all see that. Players like him light up our sport."
