Game one. SKA - Lokomotiv - 1:0

In the first match of the 2018/2019 KHL Gagarin Cup playoffs second round, SKA managed to defeat HC Lokomotiv Yaroslavl 1:0 at the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace, in turn taking the advantage.

For the most part, it was a tight, tense encounter in Saint Petersburg, but in the third period, Swedish defenseman David Rundblad pounced on a juicy rebound to score from point blank range when on the powerplay. That goal proved enough for a victory as fellow Swede Magnus Hellberg stopped all 23 shots he faced.

Game two will take place at 19:30 local time on Friday.
