SKA - Lokomotiv - 4:0

In the final home match of the 2018/2019 KHL regular season, SKA earned a morale boosting victory, defeating HC Lokomotiv Yaroslavl 4:0 at the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace.

SKA took a firm grip of proceedings in the opening two periods. On the slot, Sergei Plotnikov touched the puck beyond Ilya Konovalov at point blank range, before the same player doubled his tally after 24 minutes. Eight minutes later, Alexander Barabanov then increased SKA's lead to three, prompting Lokomotiv head coach Dmitry Kvartalnov to pull Ilya Konovalov in place of former SKA goaltender Alexander Salak.

Nevertheless, that made little difference, as Alexander Barabanov tallied a fourth goal in the third frame to seal an emphatic 4:0 triumph!
