- Congratulations to SKA. The guys tried and did everything possible, but we were worse in the second period. We found energy in the third, but we couldn’t score the fourth goal.

HC SKA head coach Oleg Znarok:

- We were lacking strength after the Far Eastern strength. Having flown 14 hours with a stop-over, we found it difficult today. In the third period, we made mistakes because of our tiredness. Nevertheless, we’re happy that we won.

- Your take on Alexei Melnichuk’s debut?

- It was tough for him, he made a lot of saves. He was nervous before the game, but he did a good job. At the Super Series in Canada, he showed what he’s capable of. However, we already knew his talents.
