SKA - Dynamo Moscow. Press-conference of Game Two

HC Dynamo Moscow head coach Harijs Vītoliņš:

- I congratulate all Dynamo fans with the victory. It was a very hard game, as we found it hard settling into it. Saint Petersburg played hard and created a lot of chances, however we did well and rode the storm. We will go to Moscow and prepare for the next game.

- You shuffled your lines around. Are you satisfied with your changes?

- Our changes worked.

- In which components were Dynamo better than SKA today?

- We took advantage of our opportunities. SKA dominated the game, controlled the puck better and had more chances. Yes, we scored well, but that doesn't mean that we should only create a small amount of goalscoring chances.

- Alexander Yeryomenko arrived in Saint Petersburg. Is there a chance that we will see him in the playoffs?

- We live from day to day. There's always a chance.

- Does that mean that you are dissatisfied with Alexander Lazushin's performance?

- When did I say that?

- Why did you take a timeout when you were leading 4:1?

- The same players were on the ice for over a minute, they needed a rest. We gave them a minute to breathe.

- Does having Oleg Znarok next to the bench help you in any way?

- He's there and we exchange opinions.

HC SKA head coach Vyacheslav Bykov:

- I want to congratulate Harijs with the win, Dynamo deserved it today. We created chances, but unfortunately couldn't capitalize on them. Dynamo on the other hand used all of their opportunities which they had. I have no problems with my team, everyone gave their all. We will prepare for the away series.

- Ilya Kovalchuk put up his white flag with 13 seconds to go, when there was a chance to at least claw one goal back. How would you rate this behaviour?

- I don't think that we need to make a judgement. We tried to take advantage of any situation to change the tide.

- Would you say anything about it being Friday the 13th?

- I don't believe in superstitions. We should give the opponents their due, as they brilliantly scored on their chances.

- Dynamo's first goal stemmed from Artemiy Panarin's mistake, and we noticed that forwards were going behind the net to set up plays. Did you set this out in your game plan?

- Yes.

- Why didn't you score many goals? Is it because of Alexander Lazushin, or did you not give him enough problems.

- The goaltender played wonderfully. We had enough chances.
