SKA - Dynamo Moscow. Press-conference

HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:
- It was an interesting game against a strong, high quality opponent. Unfortunately, we took too many penalties today, even though we knew that we had to compete with discipline. Dynamo are always strong on the powerplay. Nevertheless, I would like to thank the guys for their commitment when playing shorthanded. Have we now found stability? One aspect which requires major improvement is our ruthlessness in front of goal, we're continuing to waste a lot of opportunities. You haven't seen SKA's best performance yet. Mikhail Pashnin hasn't played since November 6th? Competition drives progression, we form our line-up based on the training process.
HC Dynamo Moscow head coach Alexei Kudashov:
- I didn't like how we competed in certain stretches of the match. What disappointed me the most was that we committed the same mistakes which had been made in previous games, despite us having shown the players how to correct them. As a consequence of those particular mistakes, we lost the game. When we were trailing 3:4, SKA competed in a compact manner in their zone and didn't allow us to create chances.
HC SKA forward Marat Khairullin:
- It's an important victory for us. After initially starting well, we subsequently ran into penalty trouble, but the main thing is that we eventually managed to score our goals and win. The guys showed character.
HC SKA forward Sergei Tolchinsky:
- Even though we allowed Dynamo to equalise at 3:3, no one panicked and we continued playing in accordance with our system. Which home game has been the most enjoyable one during this series? For the fans, I think that our comeback against Nizhny Novgorod was dramatic. We want to progress and develop further, confidence is growing within the group.
