Game five. SKA - Dynamo Moscow. Press-conference

HC Dynamo Moscow head coach Vladimir Krikunov:
- We played well during the regular season, but the same can't be said for the playoffs. We struggled in this series after winning the first match. The guys tried hard, but we took too many penalties today. These things happen in sport.
- Dynamo have relied on their first line for two consecutive seasons. Is this the problem?
- Dmitry Kagarlitsky received an injury in the second game when the puck hit him. No one could replace him.
- Your players simply couldn't score in these playoffs.
- 75% of our goals were scored by the first line, 15% by Oscar Lindberg's line and 10% by the rest. Everything went wrong after Kagarlitsky's injury. It's a shame that the younger players wasted their opportunities to score.
HC SKA head coach Valeri Bragin:
- Dynamo Moscow started with lots of energy, this was their last chance in the series. Our goal at the end of the first period gave us emotions, while ruining Dynamo's mood at the same time. We're really happy to win this series, because we struggled against Dynamo in the regular season. I want to thank our fans for their wonderful support both in Saint Petersburg and Moscow, they really helped us win! We move on.
- How are SKA improving during these playoffs?
- After the first series, the guys began to realise the difference between the regular season and the playoffs. We drew the correct conclusions after losing the opening match to Dynamo Moscow, we picked the right players and competed in the correct manner. Our commitment improved, we played with more aggression and changed our tactical approach. I am thankful to the guys for following our plan.
- Did you have a special plan for Vadim Shipachyov and Dmitrij Jaskin?
- You have to be aggressive against such players, you can't afford to give them space. We coped with the task.
- SKA scored four powerplay goals in the most recent two matches.
- You have to boast quality to perform well on the powerplay. Our hard work is paying off.
- Your players can soak up pressure well.
- When the score was 3:0 in our favour, we asked the guys to compete in the correct manner. They saw the game out to win.
- Was it easier for SKA when Dynamo played on the front foot?
- No, they always tried to attack hard during the first period of games. We made changes to our approach following the opening match of the series.
- What are your thoughts about the performances of Vladislav Kamenev's line?
- I am really happy for them, especially for Vladislav who is the leading player of that line. He has good chemistry with Artyom Shvets-Rogovoi and Evgeny Timkin.
