SKA - Dynamo Moscow. Match day

Having played three away matches in the Far East, SKA have returned to Saint Petersburg for a KHL game against HC Dynamo Moscow.

These opponents need no introduction. Over the past few years, SKA and Dynamo have developed one of the KHL's fiercest rivalries, with every fixture full of fireworks. Today's should be no different, with SKA seeking a second victory over Dynamo this campaign. Nevertheless, that match in Moscow on November 9th was a tough one. Dynamo twice had the lead, but goals from Maxim Chudinov, Evgeny Ketov and Anton Belov stole a tense 3:2 victory.

However, since that game, Dynamo have picked up form. The Muscovites now occupy 6th place of the Western Conference, coming off the back of a four match winning streak. The return of star goaltender Alexander Yeryomenko has helped their cause, and Dynamo have indeed only conceded one goal in the past three games. Interestingly though, no Dynamo player has yet hit the back of the net ten times. Defenseman Mat Robinson is their top scorer with 19 points (6+13).

SKA impressed during the Far Eastern trip, beating Kunlun Red Star 5:3, Amur Khabarovsk 2:1 and Admiral Vladivostok 4:1. Igor Shestyorkin was particularly solid in the game with Admiral, saving 28 of 29 shots. Ilya Kovalchuk now boasts 52 points this campaign (22+30).

Today's fixture will be dedicated to SKA's 70th anniversary. In accordance with this, there will be a parade of SKA's VHL, MHL and junior teams after the final buzzer. We also ask you to take your seats inside the arena fifteen minutes before puck drop!

The SKA - Dynamo Moscow match will begin at 19.30 local time in the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace. Life78 and KHL TV will broadcast live, and you can follow events on our official Twitter account!
