Slender home setback to Dynamo

27 February 2025

Despite a much-improved defensive performance, SKA once again came up short against Dynamo in the 2024/2025 KHL regular season, suffering a disappointing 0:1 defeat in Saint Petersburg.

With the game seemingly heading towards overtime, Maxime Comtois struck the killer blow for the Moscow-based organisation on the 55-minute mark, whacking a huge slap shot beyond the impressive Artemiy Pleshkov in SKA’s net.

Both teams matched each other throughout the majority of the 60 minutes. Vladimir Alistrov was presented with our best opportunity of the game in the second stanza, but he agonisingly saw the left post deny him after he had beaten away netminder Maxim Motorygin when clean through.

SKA looked to have earned at least a point after professionally killing a five-minute Dynamo powerplay late in the third. However, Comtois had other ideas, consequently helping his team beat SKA for the fifth time this season.

Our players will now prepare to face Dinamo Minsk in Belarus on Sunday. Puck-drop is scheduled for 17:10 Moscow time.
