SKA - Dinamo Minsk. Match day

Today on the 27th of August, SKA will play their second match of the 2015/2016 KHL regular season against HC Dinamo Minsk at home.

Both teams had identical starts to the new campaign, as SKA fell to HC CSKA Moscow at home 3:4 with Dinamo losing against Spartak by the same score. Despite that defeat Dinamo will be encouraged by their performance in Moscow though, and while they took only one point they were just three minutes away from taking all the spoils. Star 35 year old forward Jonathan Cheechoo began in a positive manner taking two points (1+1), and newly acquired goaltender Jeff Glass could only rack up a 86.2% save percentage. During the off-season Dinamo were headline makers on the transfer rink, as they took a real coup by signing top scoring Jokerit defenceman Ryan Gunderson.

SKA were disappointed to lose to CSKA in the KHL's season opening game, but will be pleased with a positive performance. Pre-season top-scorer Joakim Lindstrom became the fourth SKA Swedish debutant to score on his debut, and captain Ilya Kovalchuk scored the goal to take that match into overtime.

The SKA - Dinamo Minsk will begin at 19.30 local time inside the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace. 100 TV and KHL TV HD will both broadcast the game live, and you also keep up to date with events by following our official Twitter page.
