Press conference after SKA defeated Dinamo Minsk in Saint Petersburg

HC SKA head coach Igor Larionov:

"It feels as though we're turning into an NBA team! Just like in basketball, it all came down to the closing seconds. Overall, I'm happy with our performance level and how the guys fought until the end. Yes, there is disappointment that we made it so tense, but these moments are why we love sport. We'll speak about what happened in the third period and prepare for our upcoming games."

Sergei Plotnikov's brilliant run of form...

"When you've achieved big things in sport, you want to do it all over again! Not everyone's willing to make the required sacrifices, but Sergei certainly is. He does everything in his power to help our team win, and this is why he's an elite player."

Who will be SKA's starting goalkeeper in the playoffs...

"We don't know yet. As you can see for yourselves, both Artemiy and Sergei are playing fantastically at the moment!"

HC Dinamo Minsk head coach Dmitry Kvartalnov:

"We weren't ready for SKA's fast start. Following the first period, the game was pretty much even. We took a risk in the third frame as the minutes ticked by, but we just couldn't score that fourth goal."

Five losses to SKA this season...

"To be honest, I would like to play against Saint Petersburg in the playoffs. Our games with SKA were close, but we lost out in terms of the small details. 6-on-4? We were trying to save the match, and we almost achieved our goal. The issue today was that we didn't block pucks at the start of the game and conceded cheap goals."
