SKA - Dinamo Minsk. Match day

Marking the midway point of this KHL home series, SKA will face off against HC Dinamo Minsk in Saint Petersburg.

To the surprise of many, Dinamo Minsk have been one of the season's top teams so far, only losing four out of their fifteen fixtures. Such excellent form has put them in fourth place of the Western Conference, and the Belarusians do have four games in hand over leaders SKA. In preparation for the new campaign, Dinamo pulled off a coup signing, penning Canadian goaltender Ben Scrivens to a one year contract. That deal is reaping its rewards, with the ex NHL netminder racking up a 93.1% saves percentage. At the other end of the ice, forward Alexander Materukhin is their top scorer, boasting twelve points (8+4).

Dinamo have dropped only one of their previous fix matches, most recently beating Dynamo Moscow 2:0 in Minsk.

Nevertheless, Dinamo aren't the only ones with a solid goaltender. Young Igor Shestyorkin set a new SKA record for amount of time without conceding a goal, and after preventing Jokerit from scoring during an impressive 6:0 victory, he does now have five shutouts this season alone. Ilya Kovalchuk, holding 24 points (10+14), is the team's leading scorer.

The SKA - Dinamo Minsk match will begin at 19.30 local time inside the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace. Life78 will broadcast live, while you can follow events on our official Twitter account.
