SKA - Dynamo Moscow. Press-conference of game five

HC Dynamo Moscow stand-in head coach Vladimir Vorobyov:

- I congratulate SKA with their victory. It was a tough series, I think that we put in some good work. A huge thank you goes to our players and fans, the supporters were there with us in lots of different cities. It was an interesting series, but we have problems. Only one team can move into the next round, we're sad to end the series today. We know what we were lacking, our powerplay let us down. Nevertheless, I want to thank the guys for trying. We lost.

- You said that you worked well, but only one Dynamo forward scored in the series. What happened to your forwards?

- This was a problem which we couldn't solve in the second round. We worked with the players, told them to crash Mikko Koskinen's net but luck turned against us. At times, the puck rolled across the goal line. The strongest team moves on.

- Before this match, you stated that Dynamo would play in an attacking manner. However, the exact opposite occured.

- We were playing on the road in Saint Petersburg. Probably, I shouldn't have revealed my cards. We prepared for the game and wanted to play on the counterattack to begin with, and then attack hard in the third period when we were losing. We need to work over this component.

- How did you find it making your debut as head coach in such an important game?

- The main thing is that I have got to know you, I hadn't seen a lot of you beforehand. On a serious note, it wasn't hard, we understood our task. We work in a serious club where victory is the only option. Two good teams met, but only one qualifies for the next round. We calmly prepared for the match, thanks to my assistants for helping me. We wanted to win, but, unfortunately, we couldn't do it.

- My colleague is right, it was a difficult series. I congratulate my team with the victory and we will prepare for the next series.

- Why didn't Pavel Datsyuk and Vyacheslav Voynov play?

- They aren't ready.

- What happened at the end of the game with you and another Dynamo coach?

- What happened? It's our problem, let's not talk about it.

- After losing game one, you stated that SKA found it tough after a long break. What will you do this time?

- We will give the players less days off!
