SKA - Dynamo Moscow. Game One

Today on the 12th of March, SKA will begin the KHL Gagarin Cup playoffs second round series against Dynamo Moscow. For the fans it's hard to find a more important opponent, and the team will need everyone inside the stadium to give their maximum support.

We ask all fans not to arrive at the Ice Palace later than 19.10 local time. There will be a huge pre-match show, and everyone will become a part of it. We really do believe that together with fantastic support, the team can get the better of Dynamo.

Dynamo Moscow finished in third of the Western Conference, as a late charge allowed them to overtake Jokerit Helsinki with 123 points. They did indeed have the same amount of points as SKA, but as being winners of their division our team kept second place. In the first round of the Gagarin Cup playoffs Dynamo were handed the tough task of taking on Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, and they made hard work of it coming out on top 4:2. Martins Karsums was their top scorer in the series with five points, while defenceman Mat Robinson gained a plus/minus rating of +6. Goaltender Alexander Lazushin has a very impressive saves percentage of 94.6%.

Our team came through reasonably unscathed from the first round series against Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod, winning in five matches 4:1 after dropping just the one home game. Yevgeni Dadonov shone picking up five points (4+1), and Mikko Koskinen achieved his first KHL playoff shutout for SKA in the fifth game of the series.

The SKA - Dynamo Moscow game will begin at 19.30 local time inside the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace. 100 TV and KHL TV will both broadcast the game live, whereas you can keep up to date with events by either following our matchcentre, or our official twitter account.
