SKA breeze past Amur at the Ice Palace!

18 November 2024

SKA breezed past Amur Khabarovsk at the Ice Palace, claiming a confident 6:3 triumph to effectively get back to winning and scoring ways in the 2024/2025 KHL regular season.

Our players had been struggling for goals in recent games, but the floodgates opened in this particular match as they displayed impressive attacking moves.

Vladimir Alistrov and Sergei Plotnikov quickly gave SKA a two-goal advantage within the maiden six minutes. However, Amur clawed one back in the 27th minute on the powerplay, with Yakov Rylov hammering a slap shot past Pavel Moisevich.

Nevertheless, our team responded perfectly, with Ivan Zinchenko deftly deflecting Ivan Demidov's drive home and Evgeny Kuznetsov netting a stunning individual effort.

Rylov grabbed another for Khabarovsk on another PP in the 38th minute. SKA, however, immediately responded as Kuznetsov pounced on the bouncing puck on the slot.

Mikhail Grigorenko neatly lifted the puck high into the left corner from the doorstep for our sixth in the 47th minute. Artur Gizdatullin did register a third goal for Amur later on, but SKA saw the game out with ease.

SKA will now prepare to host Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in Saint Petersburg on Thursday. Puck-drop is scheduled for 19:30 local time.
